Observing CMEs Without Coronagraphs

Abstract

A coronal mass ejection, strictly speaking, is a phenomenon observed in a white-light coronal imager. This paper reviews the likely signatures of CMEs in other forms of observation,  ranging from the photosphere to the interplanetary medium.
