The long fall shadows will soon be upon us and this means that we will have to take some power conservation measures to avoid problems during eclipses. At present we are reviewing the power profiles for 2001 and 2002 to investigate whether we could relax the constraints a little from last year as the eclipse lengths are similar to 2001. At this time, the teams should assume that the 2002 plan will be followed, but this is subject to change.
CEPPAD, TIDE, CAMMICE (HIT), PIXIE, SEPS powered off for the whole period
PWI powered off ~5 min. before entry into penumbra, and powered on ~5 min. after exit from penumbra.

EFI, MFE, UVI remain powered on
If further power savings are necessary
CEPPAD & TIDE - power off
EFI - Power off
UVI - heater cycling - if time available to build into SCT
VIS - heater cycling - if time available to build into SCT
TIMAS - Power off
MFE - Take down half of system
UVI - high voltage off

UVI - Power off
MFE - Power off completely
Hydra - Power off
