SPOT 13: Topic 'Spitzbergen Rocket Campaign'
Topic Description
The Spitzbergen rocket campaign includes two NASA sounding rockets to explore
the plasma physics of the dayside cusp. Instrumentation includes DC and AC
electric and magnetic fields, energetic particle detectors, photometers,
Langmuir probes, X-rays, etc. The rockets launches will also be conducted with
the EISCAT radar and other ground-based instruments.
P.I.'s are Robert Pfaff (NASA/GSFC) and Nelson Maynard (Mission Research Corp.)
