EXCEPTIONAL SOUTHERN OVAL VIEWING: SPOTS1
Southern Oval viewing:
Below is a list of times when the magnetic footprint is deep within the
field of view of UVI for the Southern Oval passes. Intervals marked 'free'
are free orbits and therefore subject to change.
This list of key times are classified as SPOTS1 events.
Therefore high resolution images around the footprint
can be obtained, while the " VIS Earth Camera can put these measurements
into the context of global auroral dynamics". Naturally, for these intervals
the footprint also lies deep within PIXIE's field-of-view.
For all of these intervals SEPS is viewing the loss cone.

orbital plane with the Earth's surface, exceptional viewing interval.
