    You have reached the home page of a
book-on-the-web,a coherent, self-contained course at the middle or high-school level on the elements of electricity and magnetism.

    It is also suitable for independent study, and is rich in history. A button at the end of each text file brings you back here. It was meant to supplement other web collections, linked from "readfirst.htm", in particular From Stargazers to Starships. It is self consistent and uses non-calculus math, but ends mostly with Maxwell's equations and radio.
